- Escalation: Material accessibility issues identified are escalated to Compliance immediately, supporting our obligation to act without delay and, where required, to notify the relevant competent authority.
Testing, Validation and Ongoing Monitoring
Our accessibility compliance is verified and maintained through:
- Automated Testing: Regular scans using industry-standard accessibility testing tools
- Manual Testing: Evaluation of key user journeys against WCAG 2.1 AA success criteria
- Screen Reader Testing: Verification of use with assistive technologies
- Website Ongoing Monitoring: An accessibility review of our website is built into Marketing’s periodic website maintenance. The review is carried out against a defined WCAG 2.1 AA checklist and supported by automated scanning tool output, so that it represents a substantive conformity check rather than a general quality check.
- Platform Ongoing Monitoring: Circit’s product team have developed a Quality Assurance scan that runs a WCAG 2.1 AA assessment on any Circit page via browser automation. It logs and identifies reports violations grouped by severity and WCAG success criterion. Findings are scheduled for remediation based on severity
- Periodic Service Review: Accessibility-relevant results from the ongoing monitoring review are captured within Circit’s Periodic Security Review (PSR), which are reviewed, tracked for remediation and formally signed off by Compliance.
- Immediate Escalation: Where the monthly review identifies a material accessibility non-conformity, this is escalated for remediation immediately so that corrective action – and, where required, notification to the relevant competent authority – can be actioned without delay.
